Each sphere bears the slight traces of the hand's work: slight depressions, imperceptible asymmetries, deliberately imperfect rim edges. The speckled grey-brown glaze with blue-grey highlights is a reactive glaze whose drips and variations in density are entirely determined by firing—each piece thus develops a unique and inimitable chromatic character.

Clean the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth — abrasive products and detergents can alter the reactive glaze over time. For use with fresh flowers, rinse the interior with clear water after each use and allow to dry completely upside down. The interior glaze is suitable for prolonged contact with water.
