This vase is a ceramic artwork in its own right. Its reactive glaze—an ancient technique where the enamel melts and flows freely during firing—generates a vibrant and unpredictable chromatic palette: the lacquered celadon green of the central body contrasts with the khaki and ochre runs of the rim and the blue iridescence of the base. No two pieces are alike. The horizontal striations molded by hand along the entire height of the vase recall the potter's wheel work—a visible, assumed artisanal gesture, a signature of rare authenticity in the world of contemporary decoration.

Fabriqué en céramique émaillée cuite à haute température, ce vase bénéficie d'une double glaçure réactive appliquée à la main : une première couche de base vert céladon, une seconde couche d'émail réactif kaki déposée en couronne sur le rebord et la base, qui fond et migre librement lors de la cuisson. Ce procédé, hérité des traditions potières asiatiques et flamandes, génère des effets de matière impossibles à reproduire industriellement. La paroi céramique épaisse assure une excellente tenue structurelle. La surface émaillée est imperméable et adaptée à l'eau — convient parfaitement aux fleurs fraîches.

The high-temperature glaze gives this vase excellent resistance to thermal shock and humidity. For cleaning, a simple rinse with clear water is sufficient for floral use. Avoid abrasive detergents which could alter the brilliance of the glossy enamelled surface. Do not expose to sudden impacts – ceramic, although strong, remains sensitive to direct impacts. Not dishwasher safe. For purely decorative use (without water), maintenance is limited to regular dusting with a soft cloth.
