This vase is made of reactive glaze ceramic, an advanced glazing technique that produces random chromatic effects with each firing. The ceramic body, thrown or molded, is covered with a superposition of glazes whose chemical reaction at high temperatures generates the drips, veins, and depth effects characteristic of this piece. The vertical flutes in relief, obtained during molding, play an active role in the distribution of the glaze: the hollows retain more material and concentrate the darker colors, while the reliefs reveal the khaki green background.
