The body is made of natural travertine, a sedimentary limestone rock with a high mineral density, 0.6 kg per 10 cm in height, hand-carved and shaped from a solid block. The surface is naturally pitted and veined: the porosities, veins, and chromatic variations, from rosy beige to ivory and warm ochre, are inherent in travertine's geological composition, with no chemical treatment whatsoever. The profile with three superimposed circular grooves, obtained by artisanal turning and polishing, plays on the contrast in texture between sharp edges and curved, matte, and slightly satin surfaces.

Natural travertine is a very durable stone whose patina develops beautifully with time and use:
