Made from high-fired glazed ceramic, this vase develops its characteristic crackled glaze during rapid cooling after firing, a natural phenomenon resulting from the difference in expansion between the glaze and the clay. This crackling is entirely artisanal and unpredictable; no two pieces will have the exact same network of cracks. The ivory beige hue is achieved with a feldspar-based glaze, applied before firing. Each piece is therefore strictly unique in its nuances and exact crackle.

What you need to know to care for it:

Clean the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth; detergent products can alter the crackled glaze over the long term. For use with fresh flowers, rinse the inside with clear water after each use and allow to dry completely. The crackled glaze can slightly absorb the natural pigments of some flowers; prefer dried flower arrangements to preserve the appearance of the surface over time. Indoor use only.
