Questions fréquentes sur les led bulbs

Comment savoir quel culot il me faut ?

It's the part that's often forgotten when ordering, and without which nothing lights up. This section brings together LED bulbs with common bases, as well as the drivers, modules, and accessories that power our technical lighting fixtures.

Finding the right base

The base is the only thing to check before buying, and it's written on the bulb you're replacing. We cover five common formats: E27, the large screw base for pendants and table lamps; E14, the small screw base for wall sconces and chandeliers; GU10, the two pins for spotlights; G9, the two fine pins for compact luminaires; and GU10 AR111 for large-diameter spotlights. Our bulbs range from 4.5 to 12 W, for 450 to 800 lumens, with a lifespan of approximately 17,000 hours.

Warm white or neutral white

This is the choice that changes everything, and it costs nothing to get it right. Warm white at 3000 K tends towards yellow: this is the light for the living room, bedroom, and dining table, the one that makes natural materials and wood look truer. Neutral white at 4000 K is clearer and whiter: it's suitable for worktops, bathrooms, and offices, anywhere you need to see precisely. A simple rule: don't mix the two in the same room, otherwise the whole thing will look messy.

Drivers, modules, and accessories

A low-voltage LED luminaire needs a driver, which converts the mains current. Our drivers are available in simple or dimmable versions, the latter allowing you to control the intensity. LED modules replace the source of certain recessed spotlights, and finishing accessories, rings, and anti-glare honeycombs, correct the appearance or visual comfort of an already installed spotlight. All of these relate to our track lighting and spotlights and the luminaires section.

Can these bulbs be dimmed?

Our LED bulbs are not dimmable: if connected to a dimmer, they will flicker or refuse to light up. If you want dimming, it's done on the luminaire and its driver, by choosing a dimmable driver, rather than on the bulb. Always cut the power before installing a bulb, and wait for it to cool down before handling it.
