No, and that is intentional. The weaving and finishes are done by hand: the colour, the evenness of the weave and the dimensions vary slightly from one piece to the next. On a plant fibre, these variations are the signature of handmade work, not a defect. One-of-a-kind pieces are marked as such.

Each fibre has its own rules, and they do not carry over from one to another. Rattan is dusted with a soft brush or a barely damp cloth, away from direct sunlight and heat sources that dry it out. Sisal must never be cleaned with water: it leaves a permanent water mark as it dries. Seagrass, whose stem is naturally waxy, tolerates a damp cloth but dislikes moisture trapped underneath.
