Reactive fluted khaki green glazed ceramic vase

This vase is the result of a combination of pottery tradition and firing chemistry; the reactive enamel, composed of several superimposed metallic oxides, transforms unpredictably at high temperatures, producing these brownish-burgundy dripsthat accumulate in the grooves of the fluting and create a random pattern, never identical from one piece to another. The deep khaki green base, somewhere between moss green and slate gray, contrasts with the burgundy veins for a rare chromatic effect. The straight cylindrical silhouette, topped with a protruding flange collar in smooth enamel, anchors the piece in both an industrial and artisanal register.
