What is the difference between a chandelier and a pendant light?

A chandelier is a pendant light with several arms or light sources, more decorative, that becomes the focal point of the room. A simple pendant light lights a specific area. A chandelier is the choice when you want to make a statement, in an entrance hall, a living room or a dining room.

What size chandelier does my room need?

Add the length and width of the room in metres, then multiply by ten: you get a good chandelier diameter in centimetres. A 4 by 5 metre room therefore calls for a chandelier of about 90 cm in diameter, for a balanced look.

How high should a chandelier hang?

In a living space, keep at least 2.10 metres of clearance under the chandelier wherever people walk. Above a table, it can hang lower, around 75 cm above the tabletop, since no one walks underneath. Adjust according to your ceiling height.

Does a chandelier suit a contemporary interior?
