Description
A hand-woven abaca bell shade, bordered by a fringe of loose strands that sway with the slightest breeze, like a drifting jellyfish. Sold individually, the lampshade can be mounted on the cord and ceiling rose of your choice, and a little steam is all it takes to restore volume to its fringe.

Style and Decoration +

An abaca bell and its moving fringe: the Jelly Fish adds a seaside touch and softness above a raw wood table, a woven bench, or a living room with plastered walls. On its own, it defines a lounge area or bedroom; in pairs, side by side, it sets the rhythm for a large table or an open kitchen.

Installation and Maintenance +

What you need to know for installation and care:

  • Lampshade only: cord, ceiling rose and E27 socket to be provided
  • Mounts onto an E27 socket via its inner metal ring
  • Upon unpacking, restore volume to the fringe with steam or by hand
  • Installation guide for over a table: 70 to 80 cm between the tabletop and the bottom of the fringe
  • Regular dusting with a soft, dry cloth
  • Comb the fringe from top to bottom with your fingers, never against the grain
  • A few loose strands over time are normal for a natural fiber
  • Abaca is sensitive to humidity: keep away from open windows during rainy weather
  • Indoor use only
