What gives it its play of light and durability:

• Material: perforated brass, corrosion-resistant
• Color: black exterior, gold interior
• Shape: sphere open at the top, riddled with small holes
• Handmade: slight variations in shade and finish from one piece to the next

When lit, the sphere projects light rather than diffusing it: the perforations create points of light that dance with the flame. When unlit, its black and gold contrast stands out on its own on a raw wood table, and combining two or three sizes creates a tiered centerpiece.

What you need to know to enjoy it for a long time:

• Uses: centerpiece, console, shelf, bedside table, tray
• Tea light candle, or candle placed in a small dish: the melted wax would leak through the perforations
• Small sizes: can be moved with one hand by holding them from the bottom
• Dust: with dry air
• No metal polish on the black exterior
• Indoor use only
