The dimensions of this teak wood slice, which vary slightly from one piece to another:

• Diameter: approximately 10 cm, slightly oval outline
• Thickness: 1 cm
• Weight: 50 g
• Packaging: sold individually

What makes the material and character of this slice:

• Material: solid teak, left raw, hand-shaped
• Cut: cross-section of the branch, growth rings visible
• Wood: dark brown heartwood and pale blonde sapwood around the edge
• Surface: clean cut, blade marks visible
• Unique piece: number of rings, shade and contour unique to each slice

Rings circling a dark heart: this wood slice reveals the age of the timber beneath every glass. It belongs on a chalet table, a sheltered patio sideboard, or a rustic bar counter, beside a blown-glass tumbler or a vibrant flower.

To keep it beautiful and slow down the wood's natural movement:

• Usage: under a glass, a bowl, or a stemmed glass, indoors or on a sheltered patio
• Never leave a glass bottom sitting: end grain drinks water like a straw
• Wipe up any droplets immediately
• Oil the wood two to three times the first year to slow down splitting
• A fine crack will remain stable as long as the wood is nourished
