185 cm solid wood Brutalist sideboard

The dimensions of the piece, what each compartment holds, and the package you need to get into your home.

• Width: 185 cm
• Depth: 45 cm
• Height: 64 cm
• Storage: a door at each end, opening onto height-adjustable shelves
• In the center: two drawers, one above the other
• Package: 190 x 50 x 74 cm

A solid wood piece, oiled on every surface rather than varnished.

• Structure: solid oak or walnut, depending on the version
• Finish: hard wax oil applied to every surface of the piece
• Hand-selected boards: any with a knot larger than 20 mm are set aside
• Color and grain may vary from one board to the next on the same piece
• Round uprights and skids made in the same wood species as the cabinet

A low, compact block where everything comes down to geometry and the grain of the wood. The fronts stay smooth, with no applied handles: two round uprights set vertically along the line of the doors serve as pulls, then extend as skids down to the floor. The top runs from end to end, with softened edges, and draws a clean horizontal line across the room. Shorter than the 240 cm version, it fits in a standard-size dining room, beneath a mirror or along an entryway wall.

Delivery stops at your door, and caring for the wood comes down to a few simple steps.

• Curbside delivery: the carrier does not enter your home, unpack or assemble the piece
• Measure your access before ordering: the package is 190 x 50 x 74 cm
• Everyday care: a dry cloth, and a slightly damp cloth from time to time
• Wipe up any spill immediately with a dry cloth
• Minor scratches: sand with 220-grit sandpaper in the direction of the grain, then reapply the hard wax oil with a soft cotton cloth
• Do not use steel wool to smooth a sanded surface
• Keep the room between 40 and 60% relative humidity and place the piece away from radiators and air conditioning vents
• Limit direct sun exposure: the color of the wood changes with light
