Colonial brown rattan and cowrie shell round placemat 40 cm

Useful guidelines before setting the table:

• Diameter: 40 cm
• Thickness: 1 cm
• Sold individually
• Weight: 400 g
• Package: 40 x 40 x 1 cm

What defines its material and trim:

• Material: hand-woven rattan, natural brown dye
• Weave: tight, spiraling from the center
• Trim: cowrie shells pierced and sewn one by one with white thread
• Cowrie shells placed point outward, serrated opening facing upward
• Slight variations in weave from one piece to another

A deep brown rattan and a circle of cream-colored cowrie shells: this placemat frames the plate with a bright border that catches the light. On a marble or dark wood table, it structures the place setting without adding color. It pairs perfectly with glazed stoneware dishes, raffia coasters, and linen table settings.

Use and care instructions:

• Usage: placemat, one per guest
• This is not a trivet
• Rattan: damp cloth
• Vinegar, lemon, and acidic detergents will permanently dull the cowrie shells
• Vinaigrette spill: wipe dry immediately
• Do not use any household cleaning products on the shell trim
• Store separately: the trim prevents flat stacking
