Erba banana leaf baskets, black stripes, set of 2

Key measurements of the two baskets:

• Large basket: ø 39 cm, 28.5 cm high
• Medium basket: ø 30.5 cm, 21.5 cm high
• Weight of the set: 1.21 kg
• Package: 79 x 79 x 29 cm, 1.48 kg
• Delivered ready to use, no assembly required

What gives them their character and structure:

• Body: dried banana leaves, hand-braided in a sewn spiral
• Stripes: rows of black-dyed fiber integrated into the braiding
• Handles: natural jute rope, attached to the rim
• Medallions: black faux leather, sewn with a jute triangle
• Colors: natural, shades of beige and brown, black stripes

The contrast of the black stripes against the natural fiber gives the Erba baskets a graphic character that sets them apart from ordinary wickerwork. They pair well with light wood, black metal, concrete, or gray tiling, for a Scandinavian or industrial feel. Placed at the foot of an oak sideboard—one filled with eucalyptus, the other with a throw—they create a cozy corner.

What they can hold, and how to keep them looking good:

• Large basket: planter for a large plant, laundry, or throws
• Medium basket: mid-sized plant, living room accessories
• Dusting: dry brush or slightly damp cloth
• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture
