Totem candle holder for taper candles

Key measurements for each finish, to help you find its place:

• Black metal: the larger of the two, 11 x 6.5 cm base, 550 g
• Gold metal: 30.5 cm high, 10 x 5.5 cm base, 440 g
• Candle: taper, sold separately
• Black metal package: 13 x 8.5 x 37 cm
• Gold metal package: 12 x 7.5 x 32 cm

A single piece, from base to cup:

• Construction: cast in one piece, base included
• Surface: granular, retaining the texture of the mold
• Silhouette: arched base, three solid blocks and two hollow rings
• Top: cup for a taper candle
• Appearance: slight variations in tone and texture from one piece to another

The interplay of solid and void is everything: light passes through the candlestick via its rings and arch, so it never reads as a mere column. Against a pale wall, it is a graphic silhouette before it is a candle holder. It gives structure to a console table, transforms a shelf into a small gallery, and brings a touch of ceremony to a dining table.

What you need to know for use and maintenance:

• Usage: indoor, with a taper candle
• Placement: on a perfectly flat surface; the base is narrow
• Moving: hold it by its lower section
• Wax: let it harden, then pop it off with your thumb, piece by piece
• Dust: dry brush, focusing on the crevices of the rings
