Its material and the detail of its shape:

• Material: colorless glass, claimed by the manufacturer to be resistant
• Base: lower quarter cut with raised diamonds
• Top: smooth wall marked with fine vertical ribs
• Rim: wavy edge with rounded lobes
• Reflections: iridescent, from lilac to gold near the bottom
• The shades and relief vary slightly from one glass to another

A glass with a cut base draws the eye downward as if it had a stem, and the table gains a subtle play of light even when filled with still water. Its reflections harmonize with white dinnerware, gold-tone cutlery, or a light linen tablecloth. Lined up, these glasses dress up an everyday table setting without adding any clutter.
