Large handmade dark blue ceramic vase

What gives this vase its character:

It is a unique, handcrafted piece, each example displaying natural variations in hue, surface, and glaze border, making it a singular and unrepeatable object. The midnight blue glaze with cobalt flecksis the result of a superposition of high-fired enamels, whose irregular drips downwards reveal the precise moment the liquid glaze solidified in the kiln. The lower part, made of striated raw stoneware, exposes the natural texture of the clay, rough, authentic, earthy.

Made from hand-thrown and glazed ceramic, fired at high temperature. The glazed/raw bipartition is a deliberate artistic intention: the glossy midnight blue glaze contrasts with the granular and matte surface of the natural stoneware, creating a dialogue between civilization and nature.
