Neither round nor square, the Linz is reminiscent of a river pebble or a rough-hewn block of limestone. Its straight black hands, without numbers or a dial, stand out against the light concrete. It dialogues with light-colored walls, natural woods, linen, and raw cotton in a Scandinavian, Japandi, or wabi-sabi inspired interior. On a shelf, pair it with a slender candle, a small stoneware vase, or a brass object.

Where it fits, and what you need to know:

• On a bedside table: silent, it tells the time without ticking
• On a desk or workbench, as a mineral counterpoint
• On a shelf, displayed with a candle or a small vase
• Delivered assembled, ready to place
• Battery: 1 AA battery required
