Maurea black and natural mendong grass wall sun 110 cm

Useful dimensions for finding its place:

• Diameter: 110 cm
• Thickness: 11 cm
• Weight: 2.1 kg
• Package: 113 x 112 x 15.5 cm

What gives it its texture and relief:

• Materials: mendong grass and banana leaf
• Black fiber dyed through before knotting, natural fiber kept in its original shade
• Four zones: black fringe, openwork ring of twisted natural cords, second circle of black fringe, pierced radiating center
• Fringe strands knotted in small, tight tufts
• Handmade

A graphic sun that fills an entire wall without cluttering it: the black fringe carves out a sharp silhouette, while the open-work ring lets the wall show through, lightening the overall look. Above a sofa, headboard, or console table, it suits a bohemian, contemporary, or seaside-inspired decor and stands its ground against dark furniture.

To hang it and take care of it:

• Attachment: metal ring on the back, to be hung on a nail or screw, not included
• Location: a wall out of direct sunlight, which would cause the black to fade to brown in patches
• Dusting: by hand, in the direction of the strands
• Never comb or wet the fringe
• After plastering work, wait a few weeks before hanging it
• Indoor use
