Rayung tribal necklace in black wood and grass on a stand 70 cm

Key measurements for choosing the right spot:

• Total height: 70 cm
• Width: 45 cm
• Base depth: 10 cm
• Weight: 600 g
• Packaging: flat parcel of 53 x 46 x 6 cm

Composition:

• Teeth: wood blackened throughout, turned and then hand-tapered
• Round beads and small blocks of blackened wood
• Circle: top sheathed in a black cord
• Plume: golden rayung grass, tied in bundles
• Stem and base: black lacquered iron
• Each piece varies in grain, color, and tone

Two bold colors, a matte black and a botanical gold, with nothing in between: it is a graphic adornment, easy to read from a distance. It works well against a light-colored wall, where its radial silhouette stands out completely, and gets lost against a busy background. On a dark wood console or a living room shelf, it adds a bohemian, island-inspired touch next to a teak dish or an amber glass vase.

What you need to know for installation and maintenance:

• Stable surface, away from high-traffic areas: its center of gravity is high
• Upon receipt: comb the plume once with spread fingers, from top to bottom
• After that, leave it alone: rayung fiber is brittle
• Wooden prongs: dust with a dry cloth
• Indoor use
