A clean cylinder and an exposed bulb: the Salgado is reduced to the essentials, and it is its material that gives it its character, veined and warm or mineral and raw. Alone, it highlights an entryway or a hallway; in groups, distributed across the ceiling of a living room, they create a graphic lighting display. It suits lofts, contemporary kitchens, and Scandinavian interiors, and complements the wall lamp from the same line.

What the assembly diagram shows, and what you need to know to maintain it:

• Switch off the power at the circuit breaker before installation
• Screw the mounting bracket to the ceiling using two screws and two wall plugs
• Connect the live, neutral, and earth wires to the terminal block
• Place the cylinder onto the bracket and secure it with its two side screws
• Screw in an E27 bulb (not included), then turn the power back on
• Handle with care: a mineral part can chip
• Maintenance: soft, dry cloth
• Indoor use only
