Ribbed stoneware bowl

Measurements and capacity for each size:

• ø 19 cm: 19 cm diameter, 8.5 cm high, 800 ml, 0.89 kg
• ø 27 cm: 26.5 cm diameter, 12.5 cm high, 2 liters, 1.35 kg
• Conical profile with a tapered base: takes up little space on the table while providing a large surface area at the rim

What makes the piece, from one bowl to the next:

• Material: glazed stoneware
• Hand-shaped and high-fire kiln fired
• Sides with fine vertical ridges that narrow toward the base
• Asymmetrical rim hemmed with a brown border, the only smooth area on the exterior
• Gradient from brown to light gray, speckled brown interior
• Color and ridges unique to each piece

A conical bowl is viewed from above: on a coffee table or sideboard, its ridges radiate from the base. Its depth gives it an interior shadow that makes it a presence even when empty, on a side table. The small one structures a table for two or three; the large one occupies the center of a family dining table.

What each size is for, and how to keep it looking beautiful:

• ø 19 cm: salad for two or three, vegetables, appetizer or fruit
• ø 27 cm: family salad bowl, pasta or soup
• Food safe
• Microwave safe, no oven
• Hand wash with mild soap, no abrasives on the rim
• Avoid sudden temperature changes
• Empty the bowl before washing: salad oil concentrates at the bottom
