Hauteville concrete bar stool natural gray 77 cm

The deciding measurements, to be compared with your plan:

• Seat height: 77 cm
• Total height: 93.5 cm, including backrest
• Width: 44 cm
• Depth: 43 cm
• Weight: 12 kg

What gives it its base and structure:

• Seat: one-piece concrete shell, saddle-shaped, with a raised rear edge acting as a backrest
• Material: lightweight fiber-reinforced concrete, less than 2 tons per cubic meter, reinforced with a steel structure
• Legs: four raw rebar legs, splayed towards the floor and connected by cross-braces
• Black tips under the legs
• Finish: clear matte water- and oil-repellent varnish
• Color: raw natural gray
• Pores, micro-cracks, and variations in shade are inherent to the concrete and unique to each piece
• Designed by Henri Lavallard Boget

Raw concrete and exposed iron lend an industrial feel behind a counter, which is softened by the curve of the seat. The Hauteville stool pairs well with wood, black metal, and light-colored countertops, while its mineral gray tone calms a highly colorful kitchen. Arranged in rows of two or three, it defines the line of the bar.

What you need to know for assembly and maintenance:

• Delivered unassembled: identify the parts and check the hardware before starting
• Assembly requires a qualified person: if assembled incorrectly, the stool may tip over
• Never force the fastenings
• Retighten the screws after some time of use
• Keep the instructions for any questions for the retailer
• Do not wait to wipe up spilled liquid
• Stains from red wine, oil, tea, or coffee: damp sponge and soap, immediately
• Never use abrasive products, acidic detergents, bleach, wire brushes, or high-pressure cleaners
• Daily maintenance: a soft, clean, dry cloth
• Regularly apply a wax or protective product for stone
• Outdoors: under a shelter, protected from rain and direct sunlight, and covered off-season with a waterproof, UV-resistant, and breathable polyester cover
