An animal print revisited in taupe, warm beige, and milky white: this candle holder adds a graphic touch without ever being loud. Lit at dusk, it diffuses a soft, dappled light; during the day, it serves as a decorative object on a tray, console table, or shelf. It pairs as well with black wood as it does with light oak, unbleached ceramic, and olive or eucalyptus foliage.

What you need to know for use and maintenance:

• Cleaning: soft, slightly damp cloth, inside and out; do not use a dishwasher
• Wax: allow to cool completely then remove with a flexible spatula; a brief stint in the freezer helps to peel it off
• Safety: never leave a burning candle unattended, and do not use a candle if the flame exceeds the edge
• Delicate surfaces: place on a coaster or felt pad to prevent scratches
