A single piece of marble, carved into a cross:

• Finish: polished face, more matte edge with slight tool marks, sawn underside
• Veining: unique to each piece

A white marble cross with clean lines: this trivet reads like a graphic sign on the table or countertop. It pairs beautifully with glazed ceramics, stoneware mugs, and light linens, and stands out strikingly against dark wood or stone.

What it receives, and how to keep it clean:

• Uses: teapot, cup, small bowl, small saucepan or individual dish
• No cast iron fresh off the heat; the stone is sensitive to thermal shock
• No food placed directly on the surface
• Felt pads under the base before first use on a varnished or oiled tray
• Wipe off lemon, vinegar and wine immediately, as they stain marble
• Clear water only, no descaler or scouring cream
