Scalloped white seagrass round placemat 40 cm

Useful benchmarks before setting the table:

• Diameter: 40 cm
• Thickness: 1 cm
• Sold individually
• Weight: 100 g
• Package: 40 x 40 x 1 cm

What defines its material and border:

• Center: twisted sea-grass cord painted white, coiled in a spiral
• Fine radiating stitches that hold the spiral perfectly flat
• Border: ecru cotton scallops, rounded like petals
• Slight variations in tone and weaving from one piece to the next

A white circle ending in cotton petals: this placemat lends the table the softness of antique linen. Against dark wood, its scalloped silhouette stands out clearly; on a light tablecloth, it plays with nuance. It pairs well with glazed stoneware, beaded napkin rings, and macramé objects for a bohemian interior.

For use and care:

• Usage: placemat under a plate, or alone under a glass or bowl
• This is not a trivet
• Stacks flat; the scallops regain their shape in a few hours
• Dust: soft brush or vacuum attachment
• Never submerge the entire piece: seagrass cannot be washed
• Stained scallop: hand wash in cold water, without wetting the center
• Dry flat
