What this cover is made of:

• Material: hand-woven cotton canvas with a thick grain
• Grid of small crosses embroidered in ecru thread across the front
• Deliberately irregular alignment, crosses of uneven sizes
• Plain back
• Zipper closure
• Handmade: texture, shade, and shape vary from one piece to another

Its burnt orange is bold, more vibrant than a classic terracotta: this cover is meant to be the focal point of a neutral room rather than to blend in. A single one is enough on an ecru or gray sofa, where it plays the role that a colorful rug would on the floor. It pairs well with wood, braided rope seating, and light plaster walls in a bohemian-style interior.

Where to place it and how to care for it:

• Place on a sofa, a bed, or an armchair
• Indoor use
• Cold wash, dry flat
• If exposed to daylight, turn it over each season: deep orange tones fade quickly in the light
