Cascais glazed stoneware sphere mug in cream

The measurements for each size, to help you choose the right capacity:

• ø 9 cm: 20 cl, 8 cm high, 12 cm wide including the handle, 300 g
• ø 11 cm: 38 cl, 9 cm high, 14 cm wide including the handle, 400 g
• Shape: spherical body, ring handle
• Package for ø 9 cm: 15 x 12 x 11 cm
• Package for ø 11 cm: 17 x 14 x 12 cm

What defines its material and glaze:

• Material: glazed stoneware, hand-thrown
• Milky cream glaze, with beige veils visible in raking light
• Rust-colored rim along the entire lip, with fine striations on both sides of the edge
• Ring handle
• Glaze variations unique to each piece

Almost monochrome, the Cascais mug owes everything to its shape: a sphere, a ring, and that rust-colored rim that defines the edge. It blends into marble or a light-colored table and stands out like a pebble against dark wood. Placed on a raffia coaster or a woven placemat, it creates a calm and inviting coffee nook.

How to use and maintain it:

• Uses: long coffee, cappuccino, tea or matcha latte
• ø 9 cm: fits under most espresso machine spouts
• Hand washing recommended, with mild soap
• ø 11 cm: dishwasher safe, not microwave safe
• Avoid thermal shock: let it heat up and cool down gradually
• Never hold the mug by the handle when soapy
• Stir towards the center: the light enamel shows spoon scratches
