Sumba decorative head gray stoneware cowrie shell headdress 11 cm

The exact measurements, to find the right place for it:

• Height: 11 cm
• Length: 7 cm
• Width: 5 cm
• Weight: 0.54 kg
• Stands on its own without a base or mounting
• Package: 13.5 x 10.5 x 8 cm

What you have in your hands:

• Material: grey stoneware left raw
• Headdress: cowrie shells attached to the stone, top entirely paved with shells laid flat
• Two rows of cowrie shells descend from the upper part
• Face: two pierced eyes, a raised nose, a slit mouth
• Second face hollowed out as a panel, with two pierced eyes and a slit mouth
• Hand-crafted: color, shape, and finish vary slightly from one piece to another

The gray sandstone and creamy white of the seashells create a simple contrast, sufficient to make the piece stand out on a bare shelf. It complements both light and dark wood, woven fibers, and linen, and pairs well with objects in the same color palette: stone, terracotta, and smoked glass. Grouped with a tealight holder and a vase of different heights, it creates a small arrangement without overwhelming the space.

How to set it up and handle it:

• Place directly on a surface, without a base or mounting
• Fits perfectly on a shelf, console table, bedside table, or in an alcove
• Hold it by its stoneware base rather than its top, where the shells are attached to the stone
• A decorative object, it is not intended for candles or plants
