The lying half-cylinder is a horizontal format, rare among wall lights which almost all rise in height. It finds its place where the wall lacks upward clearance: under a transom, above a door, along a hallway. The light stems and darker twists of the seagrass create a graphic relief that light extends into stripes on the partition. The ensemble goes straight into seaside or nature-inspired interiors, with lime-washed walls or earthen plasters, and is readily repeated on either side of an entrance.

What you need to know to install and maintain it:

• Lampshade only: socket and wall connection to be provided
• Hangs from the ring on its back frame
• Store in a dry, well-ventilated area to preserve the fibers
• Indoor use only: outdoor use is not covered by the warranty
