What it is made of, and what makes it sturdy:

• Material: hand-woven rattan
• Shape: rectangular bin with rolled edge, two cut-out handles on the short sides
• Rectangular base, reinforced corners
• Lined bottom from the large model onwards, frame around the entire perimeter of the extra-large one
• Color: natural brown

Tightly woven brown rattan, clean lines, and two discreet handles: the Colonial offers unobtrusive storage. The smaller sizes fit under a console table or pedestal table, while the larger ones can be placed on the floor near a bookshelf, sofa, or record player. Under a washbasin, it also holds rolled-up towels.

What you need to know to use it and make it last:

• Uses: magazines, newspapers, coffee table books, vinyl records, towels
• Do not overload it: paper is heavier than it looks
• Empty it before moving it and never drag it while loaded, as the base could detach from the sides
• Empty and turn it upside down once a year to shake out paper dust
• The inside walls will whiten with use: this wear is normal
• Before storing vinyl records in it, run your hand along the inside and trim any protruding fibers flush
• Dust with a soft brush
• Indoor use
