Dimensions Takuhanki banana leaf pendant lampshade 116 cm
Dimensions +

Key measurements, starting with the height which determines installation:

  • Height: 116 cm
  • Diameter: 31 cm
  • Shape: openwork column, knotted net at the top and curtain of rods at the bottom
  • Weight: 1 kg
  • Package: 34 x 34 x 119 cm
Technical Specifications +

What you need to know before plugging it in:

  • Shade only: supplied without cable, fits a standard E27 socket
  • To be paired with a ceiling cord or a plug-in cord, sold separately
  • Interior frame with black metal crossbar that holds the socket
  • Material: banana leaf, twisted, knotted and coiled by hand
  • Color: natural, with variations in shape, fiber and tone
  • Indoor use only
  • Light fragmented through the weave
Style and Decoration +

A column of this height is meant to be viewed from the front and from a distance: it takes on its full meaning in a through-volume, a stairwell, or an open living room that lacks verticality. The natural fiber warms up light-colored walls and harmonizes with both raw wood and polished concrete. Hung on its own, it anchors the room without the need for anything else around it.

Installation and Maintenance +

What you need to know for hanging and maintenance:

  • Lampshade only, to be paired with a suspension cord chosen separately
  • Allow for a height of 116 cm in your drop calculation, in addition to the cord
  • Keep the bottom of the column above walkways
  • Only one kilo: installation and removal are effortless
  • Gently dust the fiber
  • Avoid excess water during occasional wiping
  • For indoor use only
