Black fringed raffia coaster 16 cm

Key measurements for table setting:

• Diameter: 16 cm including fringe
• Braided center: about ten centimeters
• Thickness: 1 cm
• Weight: 20 g
• Sold individually
• Package: 16 x 16 x 1 cm

What gives it its texture and character:

• Materials: raffia, sisal, and palm
• Color: deep black, common to all three fibers
• Center: hand-coiled fibers in a spiral, tight and sturdy weave
• Fringe: loose strands cut unevenly, tousled appearance
• Each piece features slight irregularities in color and fringe density

On a light wood tray or a white marble table, its dark disc surrounded by radiating strands draws a small sun. Alone under a cup, it highlights the piece it carries; by three or four on a coffee table, its fringes brush against each other and create a bohemian-style decor.

What you need to know for use and maintenance:

• Uses: mug, wine glass or cocktail tumbler, at the dining table or on the coffee table
• Protects the table from heat and moisture
• Made for a glass or a cup, not for a plate which would crush the fringe
• Dust: soft cloth or brush, to preserve the texture of the fibers
• Shake the disc rather than scrubbing it, and comb the fringe by hand from the center outwards
• Indoor use
