Provence rectangular tablecloth in black and white striped linen

The measurements for each size, to choose according to your table:

• 150 x 250 cm: 800 g, for a table seating six to eight
• 150 x 300 cm: 960 g, for long tables
• Common width: 150 cm, providing a 30 cm overhang on each side for a 90 cm wide tabletop
• Package: 38 x 27 x 3 cm for the 150 x 250 cm size, 38 x 27 x 4 cm for the 150 x 300 cm size

What makes its fabric and pattern:

• Material: natural linen, breathable and pleasant to the touch
• Pattern: white bands and fine black stripes on a natural beige background, in an irregular rhythm
• Stripes woven into the fabric, visible on both sides, which do not fade with washing
• Edges: finished with a hem
• Appearance: slight variations in weave and tone, inherent to the fiber

Its irregular stripes are reminiscent of antique mattress ticking and give the table a sense of direction that a solid color cannot offer. It calls for simple, solid, and preferably light-colored tableware, and pairs well with stoneware, terracotta, and dark wood. Large and well-defined, it replaces both the table runner and placemats on its own: an additional textile on top would pile up two patterns that clash.

Dining and washing, what you need to know:

• Uses: everyday meals or long dinner parties, on a rectangular table
• Wash at 30 degrees, gentle cycle, no fabric softener
• Air dry rather than tumble dry, which wears out the fibers and can shrink the item
• Iron while damp with a hot iron, on the reverse side
• Store it rolled rather than folded, to avoid deep creases
• Linen wrinkles by nature, it is not a defect
