The cabinet is made of matte lacquered steel, a material that supports the load without sagging over a 130 cm span, whereas a particle board would eventually bend in the middle. The doors are made of clear glass, mounted on a hook handle integrated into the crossbar: nothing protrudes from the front, which is important for a low-lying piece of furniture that people walk past.
