Designed by Gonçalo Campos in 2017, the Caravela plays on the contrast between a soft shell and taut blades of wood. In mustard, it adds a warm note to a light living room; in heathered black, it looks more graphic. It comes as a chair and a bar stool in the same family.

What to know before you order.

• Doorstep delivery: the piece is left outside your door, with no entry into your home, no unpacking and no assembly
• Made to order: 11 to 13 weeks between order and delivery
• A single 18 kg package: check that it will fit through your doors and stairway
• Wood: keep away from radiators, air conditioning and direct sunlight; humidity around 50% helps prevent cracks
• Stains on wood: wipe up right away, then go over with a damp cloth; never use bleach or any corrosive product
• Fabric: vacuum weekly at half power to keep it looking good for longer
