What it is made of, and what makes each piece unique:

• Material: glazed stoneware, hand-shaped and finished
• Glaze: satin cream white, finely crackled
• Decoration: rust-colored halo around the entire circumference, in variable fringes
• Shape: wide, flared and shallow, slightly irregular contour
• Thick wall, which maintains its shape over a large diameter
• Unique piece: shades of tone and small pinholes vary from one salad bowl to another

A large clear salad bowl gives center stage to its contents: a colorful salad, pasta, or fruit stand out without the tableware stealing the show. On a wooden table with a bouquet, or on a natural fiber placemat on the terrace, it makes for a simple and luminous table setting, and matches the bowls and plates from the same collection.

What to use it for, and how to care for it:

• Uses: salad, pasta, roasted vegetables, fruit, popcorn, or seasonal arrangements
• Dishwasher and microwave safe, not oven safe
• Gentle hand washing and thorough drying recommended by the manufacturer
• Gradual temperature changes, to avoid thermal shock
• Hold with both hands, never balanced on a drying rack
