Côa glazed stoneware oval platter

Dimensions for each size, to set your table:

• 17 cm: 17 x 9.5 cm, 3 cm high, 170 g
• 24 cm: 23.5 x 12.5 cm, 3 cm high, 300 g
• 34 cm: 34 x 16.5 cm, 4.1 cm high, 900 g
• Boat shape, deeper in the middle than at the ends
• The sizes nest for storage

What makes each piece unique:

• Material: glazed stoneware
• Grey-green background with a brown rim, from which the glaze drips in fine fringes toward the center
• Hand-shaped oval: the two long sides do not follow the exact same curve
• Color varies from one piece to the next, ranging from grey to bluish shades
• 24 cm: thinner rim, which is visibly wavy

A boat-like shape that elongates everything it holds. The small dish sits before a place setting, giving a portion the status of a served course; the medium size fits between two place settings without requiring anyone to lean over; the large one, placed diagonally, serves as the table's centerpiece on its own. Their stone and rust tones harmonize with dark wood, linen, and matte tableware.

What each size is used for, and how to keep it intact:

• 17 cm: a serving, butter, olives, quince paste, or two dessert bites
• 24 cm: to share for two, roasted vegetables, burrata, tapas, or sliced fruit
• 34 cm: whole fish, mixed salad for four, pasta, or dishes in sauce
• 24 cm: food-safe and microwave-compatible according to the manufacturer, not oven-safe
• Hand wash, soft sponge and lukewarm water, avoiding sudden temperature changes
• Dry flat on a dish towel, never upright in a drying rack where the edge may chip
• Never use scouring powder on the colored edge
• 34 cm: empty and rinse right after serving; dried vinaigrette on the bottom dulls the enamel
• A square of paper towel between nested dishes protects the enamel
