Colonial rectangular brown rattan placemat 30x40 cm

Useful pointers before setting the table:

• Format: 30 x 40 cm
• Thickness: 1.5 cm
• Sold individually
• Weight: 350 g
• Package: 40 x 30 x 1.5 cm

What makes its material and design:

• Material: hand-woven rattan, natural brown hue
• Design: diagonals from the four corners toward two central points, like the back of an envelope
• Cross-woven sections that catch the light differently
• Edge: dark rattan reed belted with light splints
• Rigid, it holds its shape like a small tray
• Slight variations in hue and weave from one piece to another

A placemat with a design, not just a texture: its envelope diagonals structure the place setting on a bare table. Its brown rattan warms up a raw wood tabletop, dark stoneware dishes, or natural linen tablecloths. Place it perfectly straight, parallel to the edge of the table, so its geometry can fully come into play.

For use and care:

• Usage: placemat, one per guest, or a small tray for one place setting on a coffee table
• The placemats stack flat for storage
• This is not a trivet: never use with dishes fresh from the oven
• Crumbs and salt: use a dry brush or the narrow vacuum nozzle along the diagonals
• Never soak
