Decorative ornament on a black grass and cowrie shell stand 80 cm

Key measurements to find the right surface for it:

• Wingspan: 80 cm
• Total height: 65 cm
• Base depth: 10 cm
• Recommended surface: at least one meter long
• Weight: 0.5 kg
• Package: 83 x 62 x 10 cm

What makes its material and character:

• Fan: black-dyed alang grass
• Collar: white cowrie shells hand-applied in tight rows
• The rigid collar serves as a frame, nothing else holds the shape
• Base and stem in black lacquered iron
• Lightweight piece despite its span

Wider than it is tall, this decorative piece makes a statement on a sideboard or a long console, standing alone with nothing on either side. The black of the grass and the pearly white of the cowrie shells create a graphic contrast that complements a bohemian interior just as well as a minimalist decor with light-colored walls.

For installation and care:

• Location: indoors, covered terrace, or garden
• Place it against a wall; every brush against it will flatten a handful of strands
• To reopen the fan, hang it upside down for a few hours
• Never straighten the strands one by one, as they break at the base
