What this cover is made of:

• Material: woven linen
• Raised checkerboard pattern on the front, with frayed edges
• Visible threads along each square, in a fine fuzz
• Solid linen back
• Thick, irregular weave with visible darker fibers
• Handcrafted: weave and dye vary from one piece to another

A regular pattern repeated across the entire surface acts like a solid color from across the room: from a distance, it is a textured surface that does not compete with anything, and it is only within arm's reach that it reveals its intricate craftsmanship. It therefore blends in anywhere, even next to a cushion with a bold design. The raw linen tone pairs well with wood, terracotta, and off-white fabrics, and the grazing light at the end of the day brings out the full relief of the checkerboard pattern.

Intended uses:

• Placed on a sofa or tucked into an armchair
• Designed to be layered with other cushions
• Lightweight, it can be moved from room to room throughout the seasons
• Cover only: filling sold separately
