Desio natural banana leaf baskets with lids, set of 2

Measurements of the two baskets, delivered together:

• Small basket: ø 21 cm, height 14 cm
• Large basket: ø 24 cm, height 16 cm
• Shape: round, with lid
• Weight of the set: 0.8 kg
• Parcel: 24 x 24 x 16 cm for 0.9 kg
• Delivered ready to use, no assembly required

What gives them their character and hold:

• Material: dried banana leaves, hand-braided
• Technique: leaf cords coiled in a spiral and sewn row by row with a zigzag stitch
• Lids: same technique, handle made of twisted natural cord
• Structure: no internal frame
• Natural hue: shades of golden brown, caramel, and tobacco

Their low, wide shape, topped with a handled lid, recalls the hat boxes of yesteryear. On a dresser or bedside table, they replace a jewelry box; stacked in pairs on a shelf, a bench, or at the foot of a piece of furniture, they add a touch of natural fiber. Their caramel and tobacco tones complement dark wood, brass, white marble, and linen, in a wabi-sabi or Nordic spirit.

What you need to know for daily use:

• To store: jewelry, watches, candles, soaps, or small bottles
• Where to place them: dresser, bedside table, shelf, or bathroom
• Care: dry brush or slightly damp cloth
• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture
