X2 is as much a bookcase as it is a wall drawing: two intersecting grids of slats, where the offset creates solids, voids, and a cast shadow that shifts with the daylight. Placed against a light wall, it reads like a graphic design; left open on both sides, it allows the gaze to pass through rather than closing off the space. Keep it sparsely arranged: a few books lying flat, one object per compartment, plenty of empty space. It is the rhythm of the slats that provides the decor, not what you place on them.
