What makes its quality, season after season:

• Metal frame with an antique gold finish, intentionally patinated
• Clear glass and one side of ribbed glass with a frosted look
• Hinged door closed by a latch
• Solid metal base, which holds the candle in place
• Visible corner posts and a sloped roof with a round opening

The fluted glass multiplies the flame across its entire height: this is what distinguishes the Herslev from a completely clear lantern. The two heights can be placed together in a staggered duo near a garden armchair, on a coffee table, or an entryway console. On their own, they stand on the floor near a French window just as well as in the center of a set table. The patinated metal complements warm woods, linens, and matte ceramics.

What you need to know for its use and maintenance:

• For indoor and outdoor use; bring inside during prolonged freezing weather
• Never leave a candle burning unattended
• Let cool before opening the door and removing the candle
• Clean the glass with a slightly damp microfiber cloth
• Do not use abrasive products on the antiqued finish
• The patina darkens over time: this is intentional, not wear and tear
