Large decorative broom 130 cm

Key measurements to find a spot on the wall:

• Total height: 130 cm
• Head span: 30 cm
• Thickness: 5 cm
• Weight: 800 g
• Package: 140 x 25 x 6 cm

What gives it its texture and silhouette:

• Head: hand-harvested grass stalks, with slight color variations from one piece to another
• Ferrule: rattan woven in a checkerboard pattern, matching the head
• Bindings: several passes of thread that fan out the stalks
• Handle: debarked wooden stem, slightly irregular
• Top of the handle: wrapped thread that prevents the fiber from fraying

At this size, the object ceases to be a utensil to become a sculptural form. Leaning against an entryway wall or in a room corner, it creates a clean vertical line, and its fan-shaped head adds a light texture. It complements both raw walls and colored plaster, near a potted plant or a wooden console table.

To showcase it and keep it in shape:

• Use: decorative only, it is not meant for sweeping
• Placement: leaning against a wall or hanging from a hook
• Indoor use
• Store it hanging or resting on the handle, never resting on the bristles
• Straighten the fan by hand if one side has flattened
• Keep it away from heat sources: a dried-out handle will snap
• Do not get it wet: the grass will swell and split the ferrule
