Long raw teak bread plate 45 cm

Key measurements for placing it on a table or mounting it on a wall:

• Length: 45 cm
• Width: 9 cm
• Height: 2 cm
• Depth: less than one centimeter
• Package: 48 x 12 x 5 cm

A piece carved from a single block, bearing the marks of the tool:

• Material: solid teak
• Craftsmanship: gouge-carved, raw unsanded finish
• Base striated with crosswise gouge marks along the entire length
• Irregular edges, following the shape of the original board
• Handle carved as a continuous piece, with a hole for hanging
• Food contact: dry foods only

The elongated shape does what a basket cannot: it presents bread in a line, with each slice clearly visible, at the center of the table just like on a coffee table during an aperitif. Its ribbed wood complements teak trays, wooden bowls, and rattan baskets. Hung on the wall between meals, it becomes a kitchen object in its own right.

What you need to know to use it and keep it for a long time:

• Usage: baguette, sliced bread, and dry foods
• After each use: dry brush, across the grooves
• Washing: by hand and occasionally, dry immediately
• No dishwasher
• Condition the wood with a neutral food-grade oil every two months
• Storage: hung on a hook by the handle hole
