Merapi brown stoneware rectangular dish 26 cm

Key measurements for table setting:

• Dimensions: 25.9 x 15.5 cm
• Height: 2 cm
• Weight: 0.65 kg
• Package: 31 x 19.5 x 7 cm

What it is made of, and what makes it unique:

• Material: glazed stoneware
• Craftsmanship: handmade
• Surface: relief of flush pebbles
• Glaze: matte anthracite that shifts to glossy brown, streaked with a golden network
• Unique piece: the boundary between the two zones varies from one dish to another

On a rustic table, the Merapi dish plays with contrast; in a minimalist setting, it adds texture. Placed alone on a coffee table or a sideboard, its pebble-like relief catches the grazing light: it is brought out as much for serving as it is for dressing up a surface.

What to use it for, and how to maintain it:

• Uses: sushi, tapas, bite-sized appetizers, or a cheese board for two
• Washing: by hand
• Cleaning: soft brush under lukewarm water; the crevices between the pebbles retain oil
• Shiny area: scrub thoroughly, the slightest greasy trace is visible
• To avoid: abrasives and sharp knives placed on the raised sections
