What makes it sturdy and comfortable, day after day:

• Velvet upholstery: polyester velvet, with reflections that change depending on the angle and light
• Microfiber upholstery: soft-to-the-touch microfiber with a suede-like appearance
• Shape: contoured shell without armrests, seat and front of the backrest feature square quilting, smooth back
• Padding: polyurethane foam
• Legs: matte black lacquered steel, tapered
• Usage: tested for indoor domestic use, up to 110 kg per chair

Straight lines, uniform quilting, and slim legs: the Middelfart maintains a clean silhouette that lets the table and the room speak for themselves. Its upholstery dictates the mood—brighter when it catches the light, warmer when it takes on the appearance of suede. It pairs just as well with a wooden tabletop on crossed legs as it does with a white round table, and can even be tucked under a console to serve as a desk chair.

What you need to know for assembly and maintenance:

• Delivered as a kit: the seat attaches to the base with 4 screws, washers and an Allen key included
• Assembly by one person, instructions included
• Assemble the chair on a soft surface, such as a rug, to avoid scratches
• Tighten the screws 2 weeks after assembly, then every 3 months
• Cleaning: damp cloth and clean water only, without detergents or solvents, which could discolour the fabric
• Dust: vacuum cleaner, soft brush or soft, clean cloth
• Avoid direct sunlight, which causes textiles to lose their colour
