Lantern components:

• Materials: water hyacinth, synthetic rattan, and glass
• Structure: openwork bell-shaped cage, mounted in black synthetic rattan
• Weave: water hyacinth ribbons knotted in a cross pattern over the entire height
• Handle: movable arch fixed by two rings, wrapped in black
• Votive holder: clear glass cylinder placed at the base
• Colors: natural and black

The contrast between the light fiber and the dark structure is enough to establish a natural tone without veering into the rustic. The openwork shade turns the light into a pattern, and the object pairs beautifully with blonde woods, matte stoneware, and unbleached textiles. Alone in the center of a coffee table, it takes center stage; at two different heights, or alongside a vase and a tray, it creates a cozy nook of low light.

Daily best practices:

• Place the candle inside the glass holder, never directly on the weave
• Never leave a flame unattended
• Fold the handle to one side to place it under a shelf, lift it up to carry it
• On a terrace, bring it inside after use: the weave is made of plant fiber
